DRIVING SAFETY DEVICE

This clever driver safety device was invented by a Post Office employee.  It mounts in a vehicle and plays driver safety  announcements at frequent intervals.  He decided to produce them himself, and I helped him to set up a home production line.  Read more or visit his web site.

WINDOW SHADE REMOTE CONTROL

I designed and developed this product for a company in Manila over a period of several months.  We worked primarily by email as I do with most of my clients.  The 12 hour time difference made phone calls difficult and expensive.

This is a remote control system for operating window shades throughout a home.  I designed the keypad and circuitry for the radio remote and all the circuitry that operates AC and DC type motors (below left and right).

A PILL TIMER PROTOTYPE

Designed to remind people when to take their pills.  This was built for an inventor who did not research patents first.  Read more about the Inventor's mistake by clicking on the image!

LUGGAGE FINDER

4 transmitters go in your luggage. A pocket receiver that lets you know if they are in the plane with you (within 50 feet or so).

DIGITAL LED BAR TACHOMETER ACCESSORY

Tach on Harley This was designed as a Harley Davidson motorcycle accessory.  I designed the electronics for Superior Innovative Concepts For Unique Custom Cycle Products, LLC

Tach board front

Tach board back

Here are views of the circuit board front and back.

The design challenge was to fit all the electronics into the very small space inside the chrome plated cast aluminum housing.  Features include a peak hold dot that remains for 5 seconds to show the max revs.  Automatic dimming with a continuous range - dims the display as you go through a tunnel etc.  Digital accuracy.
