SOLAR HEATING SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION LOG

PROGRESS REPORT:
October 3: Roofing the solar shed

I was fortunate to find that the previous owners had left a large pile
of shingles and roofing nails beside the barn from the previous roofs.
I made good use of all this free material to shingle the roof of the solar shed!

It took almost all day to finish the roof since they go up in 3ft sections
one at a time with a seperate trip up the ladder with a mouthful of nails
each time!   I'm planning to recycle the old barn door as the new
exterior door.

The good weather is still holding for all this outside work.  The leaves
immediately around the house haven't turned yet, but there is plenty
of color in the surrounding countryside.
