SOLAR HEATING MY WORKSHOP Detailed blog of my progress building a solar heating system for my workshop in 2001 - and continuing changes and improvements. CONVERTING A GAS LAWN MOWER TO SOLAR CHARGED ELECTRIC POWER This blog details the process of converting a 22" gas powered lawn mower to run on a 12 Volt motor and battery. The battery is charged from solar panels.	INSTALLING A SOLAR ATTIC VENT I installed a solar attic fan to remove the extreme heat that gets trapped above my 2nd floor office. It has helped to reduce my need for air conditioning.
CONSERVING HOT WATER Like many houses, our master bathroom is at the far end of the house from the water heater. It takes about a minute and a half for hot water to arrive. So I installed a D'mand pump system to bring hot water to the faucet by re-circulating it back down the cold pipe.	SOLAR DIFFERENTIAL TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER In the spring of 2006 I began offering my new controller for sale. Designed specifically for photovoltaic powered solar heating applications, this very basic controller operates from any 12 Volt PV panel and/or battery and switches power to a DC circulation pump.
