Douglas Fir     12W X 12D X 24H
This design was created as an entry for a competition to make something
out of a standard 2 X 4" X 8ft. Douglas fir stud.  I used every inch of the
stud to get the maximum dimensions for the table.
I have made several of these in various woods including custom orders
in cherry, maple and walnut (above right).

"Try Table"     28W X 28D X 17H
This was a one-time-only experiment.  I originally intended to combine some
of my skills and create an electronic interactive "art table".  The circles
would have contained motorized elements that would interact to ambient
sound, light and temperature levels.  The dots on the side would have contained
sound and light sensors etc.  The project became too daunting and
remained incomplete for over a year, until I decided to complete it
as a "normal" table.  There is a hidden compartment inside the table
where I intended to place the electronics.
