"Salvador's Crutch"
completed 6/15/03
Maple and black walnut
8.5 diam.  X 2.5" (maple piece)

A reference to Salvador Dali's paintings that have drooping
shapes supported by crutches.  This complex multi-concave
form came in a dream, it has 3 sharp rims.  I find the
topography of it compelling.  The leg/crutch is removable.

I created  the large form first and it took me nearly 3 months
of staring at it to figure out how to complete the form with a leg.
